Rebecca Minshall, MHSc, RD

Rebecca is a Registered Dietitian based in Toronto, Canada who focuses on mental health and nutrition. She works with people who may be struggling with disordered eating, weight management and the harmful effects of diet culture, as well as mental health concerns including depression, anxiety and bipolar disorders. Using intuitive eating approaches, Rebecca helps her clients better understand how food affects the body and how to improve our relationship with food. Since we are all unique, Rebecca focuses on what works best for each individual who comes into her practice.
After obtaining an undergraduate degree in Applied Human Nutrition at the University of Guelph, Rebecca completed over 1400 hours of clinical placements and obtained her Master’s Degree in Nutrition Communication at Ryerson University. She holds a Certificate in Nutritional Psychology from John F. Kennedy University and has completed the 100-hour Meditation Teacher Training at Hoame Meditation Studio.
Rebecca is completing Yorkville University’s Master of Arts in Counselling Psychotherapy program to obtain her Registered Psychotherapy designation by 2022. She combines her nutrition knowledge with her experience in mental health counselling to deepen her ability to connect with and support her clients nutritionally and otherwise.
Rebecca has research and practice experience in supporting those with a wide range of health disorders and chronic illnesses, including Diabetes types 1, 2 and gestational, gastrointestinal dysfunctions (IBS, IBD and food intolerances), obesity and weight loss, high blood pressure (hypertension) and high blood cholesterol (hypercholesterolemia).
Outside of the clinic, Rebecca is a musician and avid reader and runner.
Rebecca is a Registered Dietitian licensed by the College of Dietitians of Ontario (CDO).
